When you do not quite feel like yourself anymore.
Perhaps things that used to bring you pleasure no longer do. You may feel tired, flat, disconnected or stuck, or find it difficult to motivate yourself to do even everyday things. You might be functioning on the outside while privately feeling that things are much harder than they appear.
Sometimes low mood develops alongside anxiety, stress or a difficult period in life. At other times it can feel harder to understand where it has come from.
You do not need to have the right words, or even know whether what you are experiencing is depression, before reaching out.
Together, we can explore not only how you are feeling, but what might be contributing to it. We might look at relationships, expectations, work and family pressures, your ways of coping, and the patterns that have developed over time.
My aim is not simply to help you become better at managing an unmanageable load. It's to help you understand what you need, what may need to change, and how you can move towards a way of living that feels more sustainable.
My approach is Humanistic Integrative, drawing on person-centred, psychodynamic, attachment-informed, Gestalt, CBT and Jungian techniques. I work collaboratively with you to understand your experiences, relationships, patterns and needs.
I offer in-person counselling in Highbury & Islington, North London, and online sessions via Teams across the UK. Whether you prefer face-to-face or online therapy, we can find an approach that works for you.
